Qualifications

  • 1+ years of progressive experience in pension and benefit administration or a similar administrative field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Maintains confidentiality with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills – MS Office, Oracle HCM, and benefit provider systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to employees, owner-operators and drivers regarding their benefits and processing of their benefits.
  • Collaborate with third party administrators to ensure accurate policy application.
  • Manage data accuracy in benefits systems and streamline billing processes.
  • Carry out routine reporting for third party administrators and stakeholders.
  • Develop expertise on company benefits offerings and act as a SME with internal stakeholders.
  • Support ongoing review and improvement of benefits offerings.
  • Document processes and ensure procedures are followed.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Benefits Coordinator

Under the direction of the Manager, Pension & Benefits North America, the Benefits Coordinator performs varied administrative and specialized tasks in support of the day-to-day administration of all employee, owner-operator and drivers benefit programs, with a particular focus on employee benefits programs and reporting for our US based employees. The Benefits Coordinator assists with various benefit-related issues in accordance with established policies and regulations while maintaining a very high degree of confidentiality. Must be well-versed in the various retirement and 401K plans the company offers.

How You'll Help
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees, owner-operators and drivers regarding their benefits and processing of their benefits, to include answering inquiries, performing research, provide support on benefit plan documents and being an expert with extensive knowledge of all plans.
  • Work collaboratively with third party administrators (TPA’s) to ensure reasonable responses to concerns and accuracy in the application of the policy and challenge when required.
  • Manage accuracy of data in benefits systems, streamlining benefits billing processes, and maintaining benefits related forms and documents.
  • Carries out routine reporting for third party administrators, compliance, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop expertise on all company benefits offerings and act as a subject matter expert with internal stakeholders.
  • Participate and support the ongoing review and continuous improvement of company benefits offerings.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Supports annual open enrolment process as required.
  • Strong ability to document processes and ensure proper discipline to our processes and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Your Skills & Experience
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in human resources, business or a related field or a combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years of progressive experience in pension and benefit administration or a similar administrative field.
