Job summary

Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity is seeking a friendly Bell Desk Attendant to assist guests with luggage, provide local information, and keep the lobby tidy. Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, you will help guests with transportation needs and respond to requests in a courteous, professional manner.

This unionized, hourly role pays 18.64 CAD per hour, up to 40 hours weekly on a rotating schedule. Candidates should be eligible to work in Canada, possess a valid Alberta driver's license,

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience and a strong desire to assist people and to provide quality experiences.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Professional presentation and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with transportation needs, storage of luggage, communicating housekeeping requests etc.
• Provide guests with local information - including Banff Centre events and dining recommendations
• Maintain cleanliness/tidiness of lobby
• Pick-up and delivery of guest laundry
• Show guest rooms, assist guests to and from rooms as required, and keep track of mobility issues
• Maintain a fire in the lobby lounge fireplace on colder mountain days
• Maintain a presence in the lobby to be able to help guests and answer questions
• Maintain cleanliness and serviceability of the Guest Services vehicle
