Job summary

Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity is seeking a friendly Bell Desk Attendant to ensure a welcoming stay for our visiting guests. You will handle luggage, assist with transportation, and keep the lobby tidy, while providing local information and ensuring safety.

The role requires flexible weekend availability, physical stamina, and a valid Alberta driver’s license. This is a unionized casual position with benefits including staff discounts, professional development, and on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience and a strong desire to assist people and to provide quality experiences.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Professional presentation and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist guest with transportation needs, storage of luggage, communicating housekeeping requests etc.
• Provide guests with local information - including Banff Centre events and dining recommendations
• Maintain cleanliness/tidiness of lobby
• Pick-up and delivery of guest laundry
• Show guest rooms, assist guests to and from rooms as required, and keep track of mobility issues
• Maintain a fire in the lobby lounge fireplace on colder mountain days
• Maintain a presence in the lobby to be able to help guests and answer questions
• Maintain cleanliness and serviceability of the Guest Services vehicle
