Job summary

Fairmont Banff Springs in Banff invites a Night Public Spaces Attendant to join our hotel team. Reporting to the Night Public Supervisor, you will keep all public areas immaculate and ready for guests during the night shift from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am.

We offer a starting rate of $21.08 per hour, with increases after six months and at three years. This is a full-time permanent role with seasonal options and a comprehensive benefits package for eligible associates.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English (verbal and written).
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in hotel housekeeping.
• Experience with Hotel Property Management Systems (e.g., Micros-Fidelio).
• Proven ability to train and coach staff.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• High attention to detail with ability to work efficiently and independently.

Responsibilities

• Follow all SOPs and hotel procedures including sign-in/out and key handling.
• Clean assigned public areas throughout the hotel.
• Empty garbage in public areas and clean public area restrooms.
• Clean mirrors/windows and dust surfaces; keep brass shiny.
• Move and place furniture back to original positions.
• Vacuum carpets as needed and report maintenance items.
• Communicate with Maintenance regarding guest rooms and public areas.
• Adhere to hotel environmental policies and initiatives.

Job Description

Reporting to the Night Public Supervisor, the Night Public Spaces Attendant ensures all public areas of the hotel are clean and tidy. This role is perfect for detail-oriented individuals who take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Enjoy working night shifts from 10:30 pm until 7 am in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Starting Rate: $21.08 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $25.12

This position is full-time permanent, should you be interseted in seasonal this can be arranged as well depending on your comminment.

Job Duties Include:

• Responsible for following all established and future Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). These will include but are not limited to reporting to work, signing in and out of master, sectional or general keys, sequence of service, and lost & found
• Clean assigned public areas throughout the hotel
• Empty garbage in all public areas and clean public area restrooms
• Clean all mirrors, inside of windows, wipe and dust all surfaces; keeping all brass shiny
• Responsible for moving and placing furniture back to its original place
• Vacuum carpets where needed
• Report necessary maintenance items
• Communicate effectively with the Maintenance department regarding guest rooms and public areas
• Adhere to all hotel environmental policies, programs and initiatives
