Job summary

Fairmont Banff Springs in Banff, Canada, is seeking a Guest Services Attendant to warmly welcome arriving guests, assist with parking, luggage and room orientation, and deliver a memorable first impression.

The role requires a focus on service, the ability to lift 70+ lbs, work outdoors in varied weather, and flexibility to work shifts. Substantial staff benefits and on-site accommodations are offered.

Qualifications

• Class 5 Driver License in good standing; driving abstract dated within 30 days.
• Customer service experience is an asset.
• Able to lift and push 70+ lbs and stand for 8 hours.
• Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to drive automatic and manual vehicles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the front driveway, assist guests with parking and vehicle retrieval with excellent service.
• Assist with loading/unloading luggage to/from guest vehicles.
• Deliver luggage, messages and items within the hotel in a timely manner.
• Provide personalized orientation of guests' room in a professional, engaging way.
• Other duties as assigned.

Starting Rate: $23.50

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $30.36

Job Duties Include:

• Owning the front driveway, assisting our arriving and departing guests with parking and retrieving guest vehicles while providing exceptional service
• Assist with the loading and unloading of luggage to and from guest vehicles
• Timely delivery of guests’ luggage, messages and any other items for delivery within the Hotel
• Personalize guests’ orientation of their room in a professional, friendly and engaging way
• Other duties as assigned

Your Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have a Class 5 Driver License in good standing,5 year drivers abstract dated within 30 days
• Service focused personality is essential; customer service experience is an asset
• Must be able to lift and push 70+lbs and be able to be on your feet for 8hrs
• Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions
• The ability to driver both automatic and standard vehicles an asset

Visa Requirements

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
