Job summary

Niagara Casinos in Niagara Falls is seeking a Bell Attendant for a fixed-term position. You will provide luggage handling, assist with reservations and guest services, and help guests with mobility needs to ensure a memorable stay.

The ideal candidate has hospitality training, knowledge of Niagara Falls, strong organizational and communication skills, and is comfortable using Micros software. You must be able to stand long hours and support a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Training in hotel or hospitality-related field.
• Knowledge of Niagara Falls area preferred.
• Ability to speak multiple languages.
• Proficiency using Micros software.

Responsibilities

• Provide luggage handling to guest rooms and departure pickups.
• Assist with reservations for restaurants, taxis, or limousines and complete mandatory paperwork/forms.
• Assist guests with lost and found, internet access issues, and retrieving personal belongings.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the lobby and elevators.
• Assist guests with mobility needs and wheelchairs; sign out equipment as needed.
• Support room service with tray runs and deliveries.
• Adapt to business fluctuations while maintaining world-class guest service.
• Stand for extended periods and work in a 24/7 operation.

The job involves:

• Providing luggage handling to guest rooms upon arrival and departure
• Assisting with reservations for restaurants, taxi’s or limousines and completing mandatory paperwork/forms
• Assisting guests with lost and found, internet access issues, and retrieving personal belongings
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the lobby and elevators
• Provide remarkable service by facilitating access to scooters and signing out Wheelchairs for guests with mobility needs
• Assisting room service with tray runs
• Reacting to business fluctuations while maintaining a commitment to world class guest service
• Handling high volumes of guest interactions for long periods of time
• Making decisions pertaining to the betterment of the guest’s stay
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation
• Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties
• Working independently and as one team that supports and helps one another
• Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation

The ideal candidate has:

• Training or classes taken in a hotel or hospitality related field
• Knowledge of Niagara Falls and surrounding areas
• Sense of urgency, accountability and a high level of integrity and confidentiality
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, attention to detail and high service standards
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to speak multiple languages
• Proficiency using Micros software
