Job summary

Rimrock Banff in Banff, Canada seeks a skilled Bartender for Parker’s Table to craft cocktails and elevate beverage service. You will deliver precise, thoughtful drinks and engaging storytelling around cocktails, spirits, wine, and seasonal ingredients, while maintaining a polished bar environment and contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

The role emphasizes batch production, adherence to recipes, and collaboration with bar, floor, and kitchen teams to ensure a cohesive guest

Qualifications

  • Bartending in a luxury hotel, fine dining, or high-end cocktail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and modern mixology techniques.
  • Experience with batching programs, prep workflows, and operational efficiency.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and pride in highly polished execution.
  • Alberta ProServe certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to Rimrock’s exacting standards.
  • Execute classic and contemporary cocktail recipes with precision, consistency, and elevated presentation.
  • Participate in cocktail preparation, including juices, syrups, infusions, garnishes, and house-made modifiers.
  • Manage the cocktail batching program with accurate measurements, proper labeling and rotation, adhering to recipes and SOPs.
  • Apply advanced mixology techniques where appropriate (clarification, fat-washing, infusion, fermentation, sous-vide).

What You Will Be Doing

Beverage Craft & Execution

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to Rimrock’s exacting standards.
  • Execute classic and contemporary cocktail recipes with precision, consistency, and elevated presentation.
  • Participate in cocktail preparation, including juices, syrups, infusions, garnishes, and house-made modifiers.
  • Execute andmaintainthe cocktail batching program, ensuring accurate measurements and proper dilution, correct labeling, dating, storage, and rotation, strict adherence to approved recipes and SOPs
  • Apply advanced mixology techniques whereappropriate (clarification, fat-washing, infusion, fermentation, sous-vide).

Guest Experience & Storytelling

  • Deliver warm, intuitive, and anticipatory service in a refined, composed manner.
  • Engage guests through knowledgeable storytelling around cocktails, spirits, wine, and seasonal ingredients.
  • Offer thoughtful recommendations aligned with guest preferences and the Parker’s Table experience.
  • Handle guest requests and concerns with professionalism, discretion, and calm problem-solving.

Operational Excellence

  • Operate POS systems accurately and manage financial transactions with care and accountability.
  • Maintain a pristine, organized, and service-ready bar environmentat all times.
  • Monitor stock levels,assistwith inventory counts, and communicate needs proactively to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol legislation, health regulations, and hotel policies.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with bar, floor, and kitchen teams to deliver a cohesive guest experience.

  • AlbertaProServecertification required.

Physical Demands

  • Continuous standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 11lbs (5kg); occasionallifting upto 22lbs (10kg).
  • Repetitive use of bar tools, glassware, and equipment.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and fine motor movements.
  • Ability to work in a bar environment with exposure to noise, heat, and cleaning chemicals.

Visa Requirements:Must be legallyauthorizedto work in Canada. The hotel is unable toassistcandidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
