Job summary

Bâton Rouge in the Ottawa area is hiring for a bartender/food service role. On-site training is provided, and you’ll develop client relationships while delivering cocktails, food, and attentive service. Candidates should be motivated, reliable, and ready to work in a dynamic team.

We offer training on Hygiene, Safety, and Hazardous materials, plus a mentoring program to help you get oriented in the restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to interact with customers and build rapport.
• Willing to learn on-site with provided training.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• French language skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve the different drinks.
• Serve food to guests.
• Prepare drinks for the waiters.
• Set up the bar area.
• Handle cash register and inventory responsibilities.
• Apply hygiene and safety rules in the workplace.
• Follow operating instructions and maintain equipment.
• Keep workstation clean and organized.
• Respect stock rotation and storage procedures.
• Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators and storage areas.
• Operate glasswasher and store glasses properly.
• Execute any other duties assigned by the manager.

You are of legal age, enjoy working with the public, building relationships, maintaining a conversation, developing your clientele, creating and serving cocktails, and food, all while following the standards. You want to evolve with a dynamic and professional team. You don't have the necessary experience? Don't worry, we'll train you on site, and you’ll get paid for it. We also offer several training courses in Hygiene and Sanitation, Occupational Health and Safety, as well as training on hazardous products and materials. We have developed a mentoring program to help you find your way around.

Main functions

• Be responsible for the cash register andinventory

• Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, warehouses, and other storage areas in accordance with inventoryrotation
• Operate the glasswasher and store the glasses in the appropriateplaces.
• Ensures and executes all other tasks requested by the manager
