Job summary

Saskatchewan Health Authority in Regina is seeking a Social Worker for the Surgical Assessment Centre - Regina within the Surgery Specialty Clinic. You will support patients preparing for bariatric surgery, delivering psychosocial assessment and intervention in a multidisciplinary setting.

The role requires an MSW and experience in mental health therapy, with knowledge of CBT, ACT, mindfulness and related modalities. Full-time days, 112 hours per rotation, based in Regina.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health assessment and psychotherapy.
• Experience and training in Solution-Focused Counseling.
• Experience and training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessment and intervention to bariatric surgery patients.
• Screen, assess and treat clients within a multidisciplinary team.
• Utilize evidence-based therapies to support patients through bariatric treatment.
