Job summary

The Trop Bar & Grill is seeking a passionate Bar Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our bar. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced hospitality professional who takes initiative, makes sound decisions, and is ready to take ownership of the department.

You will manage inventory, control liquor costs, train and support the bar team, and work alongside the General Manager. The role includes regular bartending shifts and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of bartending experience.
• 1-2 years of supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of bar operations and hospitality.
• Experience with inventory management and liquor-cost control.
• Organized, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Confident decision-maker with initiative.
• Clear communicator and team leader.
• Passion for hospitality and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily bar operations and serve as the primary point of leadership for the bar team.
• Complete weekly liquor, beer, and wine orders while maintaining inventory levels.
• Manage liquor costs, inventory controls, ordering, and product waste.
• Build and maintain relationships with liquor, beer, and beverage representatives.
• Coordinate promotions, sponsorships, pricing, and product opportunities with suppliers.
• Communicate expectations, priorities, and updates to the bar team.
• Address bar-related concerns promptly and hold team members accountable.
• Maintain an organized, efficient, and well-stocked bar.
• Work closely with the General Manager and contribute to the management team.
• Work regular bartending shifts as part of the role.

Compensation

$20 per hour for Bar Manager responsibilities, plus regular bartending shifts and tips.
