Job summary

NOSH AND NECTOR LTD. in Sydney, NS, is seeking a Bartender / Restaurant Supervisor to deliver excellent food and beverage service while overseeing day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar.

You will bartend and supervise staff on shifts, maintain service standards, train new hires, manage cash and POS, and ensure a clean, safe, welcoming environment for guests. The role requires strong customer service, leadership, and multitasking.

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Supervisory or team-lead experience is an asset.

  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation.
  • Monitor liquor, beverage, and restaurant supplies and report or replenish inventory as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, dining area, service stations, and related work areas.
  • Ensure staff follow food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and responsible alcohol service requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide guidance when necessary.
  • Assist management with scheduling, inventory control, and other operational duties as required.
