Job summary

Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver seeks a Banquets Houseperson to expertly set up, maintain, and reset banquet spaces for events, ensuring a seamless guest experience.

You will work with the Banquets team to prepare rooms according to BEOs, keep areas clean, restock supplies, and assist with moving equipment, while upholding brand standards. This role requires detail orientation and physical stamina in a luxury environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous banquet or hospitality experience is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and move heavy equipment.
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and tear down banquet rooms per event orders (BEOs).
  • Ensure function spaces are clean and meet brand standards before and during events.
  • Replenish supplies and maintain cleanliness in banquet and back-of-house areas.
  • Assist with movement and storage of banquet equipment and furniture.
  • Respond promptly to requests from Banquets team and event organizers.
  • Maintain knowledge of daily events and room setups.
  • Follow safety and hygiene standards when handling equipment.
  • Support other Food & Beverage outlets as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Ensure all function spaces are clean, organized, and meet brand standards prior to and during events
