Job summary

Fairmont Royal York seeks a banquet server to prepare and manage banquet floors for meetings and events in a cordial, guest-focused environment. You will serve plated, buffet, and reception events and ensure all standards are met, working closely with leadership to maintain a premier guest experience.

Ideal candidates have banquet service experience, Smart Serve certification, and physical fitness to lift equipment. You will be part of a team delivering exceptional hospitality in Toronto.

Qualifications

• Teamwork and a helpful attitude with co-workers.
• Efficient approach to completing all tasks.
• Knowledge of food and beverage operations.
• Previous banquet service experience required.
• Physically able to lift and carry heavy equipment.
• Smart Serve Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Set and prepare banquet floors for meetings and events.
• Serve and clear plated, buffet, and reception banquets.
• Set tables per Fairmont standards and leadership directions.
• Complete opening and closing duties.
• Know menus, dietary needs, and wine and beverages.
• Maintain guest relations with eye contact and personal service.
• Adhere to safety, hygiene, and alcohol service procedures.
• Work weekends, holidays, and shift work.
