Job summary

Fairmont Royal York, a landmark Toronto hotel, is seeking an Assistant Server to support guest service delivery in the Lobby Lounge. You will assist with meal service, prepare stations, and help ensure a seamless experience during peak times.

The role emphasizes teamwork, knowledge of the menu, adherence to safety and hygiene standards, and a willingness to work weekends and holidays as scheduled. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

Previous work experience in a restaurant/F&B setting.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.
OTEC certificate an asset.
Flexibility with shifts of the outlet dependent on business demands
Willingness to learn new concepts and ideas.
Smart Serve Training Certification.
Experience working in Unionized Environment

Responsibilities

Promote and maintain a positive working relationship at all times.
Report for duty punctually in full uniform.
Understand food and drink offerings and dietary restrictions, and answer guest questions.
Follow Lobby Lounge policies and service standards.
Assist guests with inquiries promptly and helpfully.
Attend pre-shift, weekly and monthly meetings to improve guest experience.
Carry out duties as assigned by the Manager.
