Job summary

Fairmont Royal York in Toronto invites you to join our dining team as a host/guest services associate. You will be the first and last guest contact, ensuring service that reflects the hotel's high standards in seating, greeting, and hospitality.

You will report punctually, deliver personable service, know the menu and promotions, and coordinate reservations and guest requests with the servers, maintaining team cohesion and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.
• Multi tasked when dealing with high volume of guest requests.
• Smart Serve is required; Open Table experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Report to duty punctually to maintain the integrity of co-workers and guests.
• Consistently offer personal and friendly service.
• Have full knowledge of the menu, beverage lists, and promotions.
• Ensure host stand is neat and clean at all times.
• Understand daily duties including seating, reservations, and phone handling.
• Track all covers per station and know union agreement.
