Job summary

Vintage Hotels’ Millcroft Inn & Spa in Caledon, Ontario, is currently seeking 1 Banquet Server to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity that can provide flexibility, valuable work experience, and a chance to work with a tenured team.

As a Banquet Server, you will serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner, following all service standards and contracted specifications. Morning and evening shifts on Weekdays and Weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in various types of service.
• Experience in creative buffet set-ups.
• Minimal beverage knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity.
• Meeting established up-selling and sales goals.
• Must be available for Morning and Evening shifts on Weekdays and Weekends.
• To set up function space as required in house and off-site following service guidelines.
• Serving at both in house and off-site functions.
• Disassemble at the end of each function and ensure that all equipment is returned to its proper place and polish all cutlery.
• Keeps supply areas clean and organized.
• Properly clean function rooms after groups leave and set for show.
• Wipe down table bases and chairs following each function.
• Reports to the Banquet Captain overseeing the function/event.
• Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties' products and services.
• Suggesting additional product and services meeting our Guests' specific preferences.
• Assessing Guests' individual needs to meet standards for additional products and services.
• Actively seeking ways to meet Guests' product or service needs.
• All other duties as assigned.
