Job summary

Millcroft Inn & Spa in Ontario is seeking 1 Banquet Server to join our team. This role focuses on serving food and beverages to guests professionally, while adhering to service standards.

You will set up function spaces, serve at in-house and off-site events, and work flexible morning and evening shifts on weekdays and weekends. The ideal candidate has guest service experience, ability to upsell, and a positive, sales-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in various types of service.
• Experience in creative buffet set-ups.
• Minimal beverage knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity
• Meeting established up-selling and sales goals
• Must be available for Morning and Evening shifts on Weekdays and Weekends
• To set up function space as required in house and off-site following service guidelines
• Serving at both in house and off-site functions
• Disassemble at the end of each function and ensure that all equipment is returned to its proper place and polish all cutlery
• Keeps supply areas clean and organized
• Properly clean function rooms after groups leave and set for show
• Wipe down table bases and chairs following each function
• Reports to the Banquet Captain overseeing the function/event
• Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties' products and services
• Suggesting additional product and services meeting our Guests' specific preferences
• Assessing Guests' individual needs to meet standards for additional products and services
• Actively seeking ways to meet Guests' product or service needs
• All other duties as assigned
