Job summary

Four Points by Sheraton Kelowna Airport is seeking Banquet Servers to deliver warm hospitality and meticulous service at events. You will help with setup, guest greeting, and attentive food and beverage service throughout banquets.

This role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to stay composed in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience is an asset.
• Serving It Right certificate required or willing to obtain on hire.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down events according to Banquet Orders.
• Greet clients and guests, respond to requests promptly and politely.
• Provide food and beverage service during banquets.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards at all times.
• Work with hotel team to ensure guest satisfaction throughout service.
• Answer questions about food, wine and services when needed.
• Monitor food quality and presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are also on a bus route, with a stop just outside of the hotel. Our complimentary shuttle also picks up our employees near the bus loop at UBCO!

What will you be doing?

• Set up and take down events according to Banquet Event Orders
• Greet and welcome client representative and guests, responding to requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Provide food & beverage service throughout the banquet
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and warm hospitality to all guests
• Foster and practice teamwork and cooperation with all other positions existing in the hotel
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant functions and services when necessary
• Monitor food quality and presentation standards
• Other duties as assigned or required

What are we looking for?

• Previous restaurant experience is an asset
• Valid Serving it Right Certificate(or willing to obtain upon hire)
• High attention to detail with the ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to take direction and prioritize
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
• Must be available to work varied shifts; weekends, holidays, days, and evenings
