Job summary

The Painted Ship Social House Ltd. in Vancouver is seeking a Baker to join our kitchen team. This permanent full-time position offers 30-40 hours per week with a pay rate of $25.00 per hour. Shifts run 5am–9pm and include weekend work as required.

Qualifications

Standard 6-8 hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 5am and 9pm as required. Working on weekend shifts is required.

Duties:

• Bake mixed dough and batters;
• Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods;
• Work with chocolate for special baking needs;
• Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards;
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.

Requirements:

• Secondary school completion is required;
• Completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program for bakers OR completion of a college or other program for bakers OR a minimum 2 years of experience working in a commercial bakery is required;
• English language ability is required;
• Must be willing to work on weekends and early mornings.
