Job summary

Qualifications

• English fluency: read, write, and speak clearly.
• Works well independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of operations and billing applicable to flight ops.
• Eligible to work in Canada with an open, valid work permit.
• Calm under pressure and able to relay information precisely.
• Good communication skills and basic use of radio, telex, fax, and computing equipment.
• Ability to evaluate and analyze operational needs.
• Ability to write clear shift reports.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Ability to relate to customers, management, other employees, and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare flight documents for the pilot.
• Perform weight and balance calculations for flights.
• Conduct crew briefings.
• Coordinate communications with third parties and airport authorities.
• Dispatch and manage traffic messages.
• Follow up on all flights and monitor operations.
• Maintain VHF communications.
• Answer OPS calls.
• Enter all services and flight information into the system.
• Perform other duties related to job qualifications.
• Must hold a valid radio licence.
• File and secure flight ops paperwork and shred after 90 days.
