Job summary

Swissport Mississauga is looking for a Passenger Services Agent to deliver frontline passenger services including reservations, ticketing, baggage handling, check-in, and VIP support in a fast-paced airport environment.

You will work flexible shifts, communicate in English and Polish, and help guide passengers through customs, immigration, and boarding while complying with all regulations and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays).
  • Fluent in English and Polish for passenger support.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to continuously improve.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and verify passenger documentation.
  • Issue boarding passes and reschedule passengers affected by interruptions.
  • Manage baggage processing and applicable fees.
  • Assist passengers through arrival and check-in, including special needs.
  • Direct passengers through Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine as needed.
  • Make public address announcements as required.
  • Support Ramp Service to provide wheelchairs and gate-checked items.
  • Follow all security requirements and Swissport SOPs.
  • Operate reservation/ticketing software and related equipment.
  • Produce all required work-related documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Passenger Services Agent provides all necessary and required passenger/customer services as contracted by the customer to include, but not be limited to, reservations, ticketing, baggage processing, terminal/gate check‑in, jet way operation, greeting arriving passengers, handling of VIPs, provide special passenger assistance, handle customer complaints and other duties as assigned.

Your activities
  • Inspect and verify passenger documentation
  • Issue boarding passes and reschedule passengers affected by flight interruptions or cancellations
  • Manage passenger baggage processing, including handling and fee calculation if applicable
  • Assist passengers as needed through arrival and check‑in processes, including support for passengers with special needs such as unaccompanied minors (UM), VIP passengers, and passengers needing wheelchair assistance
  • Direct passengers through Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine, as required
  • Make public address announcements as required
  • Assist Ramp Service Agents to ensure that wheelchairs, strollers, and gate‑checked bags (cleared through security) are made available for loading upon departure and delivery to passengers upon arrival
  • Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier security requirements and Swissport SOPs and policies
  • Operate equipment to include the jetway, computer keyboards, and carrier specific reservation/ ticketing software
  • Produce all required, work‑related documentation
  • Other duties as assigned
Your profile
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Willingness and flexibility to work flexible hours
  • Be flexible to work different shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Able to communicate fluently in English and Polish
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in a fast‑paced environment
  • Attentive to detail and committed to continuous improvement
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently
  • Able to follow processes and procedures and apply a flexible approach when required
  • Able to type and learn airline‑specific computer reservation/ ticketing software
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Must be willing to work in inclement weather
