Fountain Tire Edmonton (Downtown) is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, perform scheduled maintenance, and ensure high-quality workmanship. You will advise customers on repairs and contribute to a safe, efficient shop.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson in Automotive Service Technician preferred.
• 4th year Apprentices will be considered.
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills to provide mechanical service.
• Diagnostic specialist with interest in modern technology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and annual driving abstract.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose causes of vehicle malfunctions.
• Perform repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete approved service on customer vehicles.
• Test and adjust vehicle systems to manufacturer specs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repairs.

You will get to

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries

• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis
