Job summary

Capital Ford Lincoln Winnipeg is seeking a Lot Attendant to maintain a clean, organized dealership lot and ensure vehicles are ready for display and easy access for customers. You will park new vehicles, assign stock numbers, and assist technicians and sales staff as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Verify vehicle serial numbers against invoices when arrivals occur.
  • Inspect vehicles for damage and verify presence of listed accessories.
  • Record damages and missing items on delivery receipts.
  • Park new vehicles in assigned areas.
  • Assign stock control numbers, catalog and store keys.
  • Assist technicians or valet when needed by the Sales Manager.
  • Help customers locate cars when they come to pick them up.
  • Move cars to the door for customers when possible.
  • Keep the lot organized and accessible year-round.
  • Transport customers as requested by Sales & Service Managers.
  • May pick up/deliver parts, personnel, and paperwork as required.
  • Perform other duties to support smooth operations.

The Lot Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dealership lot. This position contributes to the overall efficiency of the dealership by ensuring that vehicles are appropriately arranged, ready for display, and easily accessible. The purpose of this role is to create a positive first impression for customers, support the sales and service teams, and contribute to the overall functionality and aesthetics of the dealership lot.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • When a truck load of vehicles arrive, must verify serial numbers against invoices
  • Inspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires and radio and stereo equipment
  • Record the description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt
  • Park new vehicles in assigned areas
  • Assign stock control numbers to cars, catalog and store keys
  • Assist technicians or valet when needed per Sales Manager
  • Helping customers locate cars when they come to pick them up
  • Bringing cars to door for customer whenever possible
  • Assist in keeping the lot organized and cleared at all times of the year for customers and fellow team members
  • Transport customers as requested by Sales & Service Managers
  • Duties may also include picking up and delivering of parts, personnel, and paperwork as required by other dealership departments
  • Perform tasks as directed by Sales or Service Manager (i.e., washing customers’ cars, emptying trash containers, or any other task that will assist in the smooth flow of the company)
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned
