Job summary

Capital Ford Lincoln Winnipeg is seeking a dedicated Lot Attendant to support our busy dealership operations. You will verify serial numbers on arrival, inspect vehicles for damage and accessories, and record any issues on delivery receipts.

In this role you will park new vehicles, assign stock numbers, catalog keys, and assist technicians or customers as needed, while keeping the lot tidy year-round.

• Assist in other tasks to support smooth operations.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• When a truck load of vehicles arrive, must verify serial numbers against invoices
• Inspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires and radio and stereo equipment
• Record the description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt
• Park new vehicles in assigned areas
• Assign stock control numbers to cars, catalog and store keys
• Assist technicians or valet when needed per Sales Manager
• Helping customers locate cars when they come to pick them up
• Bringing cars to door for customer whenever possible
• Assist in keeping the lot organized and cleared at all times of the year for customers and fellow team members
• Transport customers as requested by Sales & Service Managers
• Duties may also include picking up and delivering of parts, personnel, and paperwork as required by other dealership departments
• Perform tasks as directed by Sales or Service Manager (i.e., washing customers' cars, emptying trash containers, or any other task that will assist in the smooth flow of the company)
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
• Good judgment
