Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Pedestrian Door Solutions in Calgary is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and upgrade automated pedestrian doors at customer sites, delivering reliable operation and excellent customer service.

You will work with electro‑mechanical systems, electrical circuits, glazing, and aluminum frames, perform planned maintenance and break‑fix repairs, and communicate clearly with customers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with experience repairing electro-mechanical devices.
• Able to obtain AAADM certification within 12 months of employment.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage wiring (120V).
• Experience with glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repairs, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors.
• Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 110 pounds with or without lifting aids.
