ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and upgrade automated pedestrian doors at customer sites. You will work with sliding, swinging, and rotating doors, ensuring high customer satisfaction while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to lift up to 110 pounds with support as needed, and eligibility to obtain AAADM certification within 12 months. A valid driver’s license is essential for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude to diagnose and repair electro-mechanical devices.
• Able to obtain AAADM certification within 12 months of employment.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage wiring (120 V).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues and relay logic.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors.
• Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training.
• Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds.

The Role: As a Service Technician, you’ll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and reliable door solutions to our customers. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade a variety of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction.
• Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds (with lifting aids) on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation; climbing ladders, kneeling, driving and working in various positions as required.

What You Will Need:

• Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices.
• Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21 due to job-related responsibilities.
• Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within twelve (12) months of employment and maintain certification as required.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120 v) wiring (access control systems a plus).
• Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.
