Qualifications

• Clear communication with customers and garage staff is essential.
• Ability to explain complex vehicle issues in plain terms.
• Ability to upsell preventative maintenance without being pushy.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, log vehicle symptoms, review history, verify warranties.
• Explain inspections and diagnoses to customers in plain language.
• Build and present cost estimates for parts, shop supplies and labor.
• Recommend preventative maintenance to drive service revenue.
• Schedule repairs, enter data into shop software, assign orders.
• Provide regular status updates and alert customers to delays.
• Review final invoice, collect payment and address concerns.
