Giffen Consulting Ltd. is seeking an experienced Manager, Business Development for Atlantic Canada. This remote role starts from St. John’s, NL, and will gradually move to a hybrid setup as the office in St.

John's is established. The candidate should have a strong mining and heavy industrial background and a successful track record in business development. You will lead strategy, build client relationships, pursue opportunities with Indigenous partners, and drive proposals and tendering with

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in the mining and metals industry.
• 5+ years in sales selling a solution / in a service industry.
• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
• Proven working experience in a business development, sales executive, or other relevant role.
• Experience in customer support is an asset.
• Willing and able to travel for business development activities.
• Advanced MS PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and Microsoft Project proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing, and leading strategies to grow business in Atlantic Canada’s markets.
• Working with partners to pursue opportunities and build client relationships.
• Leading business generation and deal execution with the project delivery team.
• Monitoring marketing/sales activities and pricing literature development.
• Supporting proposal and presentation development for client stages from prospecting to account management.
• Conducting market research to inform marketing strategies and capture plans.
• Representing Giffen at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
• Maintaining a registry of business opportunities in HubSpot and following up with contacts.
• Achieving or exceeding annual sales targets.
