Job summary

CAPREIT in Halifax is seeking an Associate Property Manager to lead leasing and resident relations, ensuring satisfaction and smooth operations across our rental communities.

As a frontline team leader, you will oversee the leasing process, manage payments, coordinate moves, and collaborate with support teams. The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to work evenings and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in leasing, property management or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office; SAP knowledge is an asset.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends when needed.
• Proven ability to address concerns and meet targets.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline relations and address resident concerns to maintain satisfaction.
• Oversee leasing from inquiry to move‑in and achieve occupancy targets.
• Manage administration of services, payments, inspections and moves.

Resident Ambassador

As our frontline lead, build strong relationships and deliver excellence by addressing concerns to maintain resident satisfaction.

Leasing Champion

Oversee the leasing process from initial inquiry to onboarding of new resident. Proactively monitor vacancies and achieve leasing targets.

Operations Guru

Manage administration of services, collect payments, inspect the property and facilitate resident moves.

What You Need To Succeed

• 2 years’ experience in leasing, property management or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office. SAP knowledge is an asset.
• Well‑developed oral and written communication skills.
