The Town of Nanton is accepting applications for a permanent full-time Assistant Utility Operator, starting immediately.

The Assistant Utility Operator works with the Town's utilities team in the operation and maintenance of Nanton's water, wastewater and stormwater systems. This is an entry-level position with opportunities to gain experience and work toward required operator certifications.

Position highlights include:

• $33.21 per hour, plus applicable overtime and on-call rates
• Full-time CUPE position with benefits and LAPP pension
• Weekend and rotational 24/7 on-call work required
• Valid Alberta Class 3 Driver's Licence required
• Level 1 certification in all four water and wastewater disciplines expected within 18 months
• Mechanical aptitude and municipal experience are assets
