The City of North Bay is seeking a dedicated Sewer & Water Operator-in-Training / Utility Tractor Operator to perform routine repairs and installations across water distribution, wastewater collection and storm sewers.
The role supports summer construction and winter control, requiring a Grade 12, Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Operator-in-Training certificates, and a valid Ontario Class D with Z endorsement. This is a permanent full-time, unionized position.

Under the direction of the Sewer & Water Supervisor during summer construction, performs routine repairs, maintenance and installations to municipal water distribution, wastewater collection and storm sewer systems. Must participate in Duty System and be available for emergency work.
Under the direction of the Roads Supervisor during winter control, operates utility tractor with various attachments to perform seasonal duties such as sweeping roads and sidewalks, plowing and sanding sidewalks, pushing snow for removal. Completes minor tractor and equipment maintenance. Performs various labourer duties. Considered part of the Winter Control Program Letter of Understanding.
