Job summary

QE Home is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Markham, Ontario to support the Store Manager in driving store performance, coaching teams, and delivering exceptional guest service. This role requires Sunday availability and a hands-on leadership style to ensure a warm, welcoming environment that reflects QE Home’s commitment to comfort, style, and quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience, with 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong passion for home décor, design, and creating beautiful spaces.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and inspire a diverse team.
• Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience using POS systems in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in daily operations, including sales, merchandising, team leadership, and guest experience.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members to help them meet performance goals.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment aligned with QE Home’s values.
• Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Lead by example on the sales floor with product knowledge and service.
• Ensure visual merchandising standards are consistently met and exceeded.
• Help recruit, train, and onboard new team members.
• Assist in inventory management and loss prevention initiatives.
• Step into the Store Manager role in their absence to ensure continuity.
