Job summary

Subway is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager/Shift Manager/Team Member to oversee daily restaurant operations in Windsor, Ontario. The role emphasizes delivering an excellent guest experience, ensuring food quality, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting inventory and scheduling processes.

Responsibilities include supervising a staff of 4–12, coordinating events or promotions, managing product ordering, and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members.
• Computer knowledge is desirable.

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
