Job summary

Subway is seeking an Assistant Manager to focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory, scheduling and safety. You will supervise a team, plan events, and assist with product ordering at a Canada location.

This role requires strong communication, supervisory experience in a restaurant setting, and flexibility for various shifts. Training will be provided and positions may be full-time or part-time depending on location.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.
• Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register.
• This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
• You will receive training on your roles and responsibilities.
• Full Time/Part Time and Day/Evening/Weekend Shift positions vary by location.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as an Assistant Manager will focus on seven main things:

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent
