Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Rimouski, Quebec is seeking an Assistant Department Manager to lead day-to-day activities in the department, in collaboration with the department manager, and to support a high standard of customer service.

You will help manage inventories, price lists, and staffing, provide feedback for staff development, and work with production and customer service clerks to deliver a welcoming shopping experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in retail or customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work in this similar role and expand.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day management activities within your department in collaboration with the department manager.
• Provide team members with feedback necessary for their professional development and the achievement of established objectives.
• Collaborate with the production and customer service clerks; ensure the implementation of exceptional customer service.
• In collaboration with the manager, ensure management of inventories, price lists, marketing and salary productivity according to established standards to ensure business readiness.
