Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Quebec is seeking an Assistant Department Manager to oversee daily operations in the department and support the department manager. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, staff development, and inventory management to ensure business readiness.

The position requires 2 years of retail or customer service experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in retail or customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to be available and motivated to learn and grow within the team.

Responsibilities

• perform day-to-day management activities within your department in collaboration with the department manager
• provide team members with the feedback necessary for their professional development and the achievement of established objectives
• collaborate with the production and customer service clerks; - Ensure the implementation of exceptional customer service
• in collaboration with the manager, ensure the management of inventories, price lists, marketing and salary productivity according to established standards in order to ensure business readiness
