Job summary

Marche Emily Philip Desmarais inc. is seeking an assistant department manager to lead daily operations within the department, working closely with the department manager to meet objectives and deliver strong customer service.

You will guide team members, provide timely feedback on performance, and coordinate with production and customer service clerks to maintain high service standards. Training is available to support growth.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in retail or customer service
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Currently in a similar role and looking to expand

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management activities within the department in collaboration with the department manager
• Provide team members with feedback for their development and achieving objectives
• Collaborate with production and customer service clerks; ensure exceptional customer service
• Manage inventories, price lists, marketing and salary productivity with the manager to ensure business readiness

What might a typical day look like?

As an assistant department manager, you will have to :

• perform day-to-day management activities within your department in collaboration with the department manager;
• provide team members with the feedback necessary for their professional development and the achievement of established objectives;
• collaborate with the production and customer service clerks; - Ensure the implementation of exceptional customer service
• in collaboration with the manager, ensure the management of inventories, price lists, marketing and salary productivity according to established standards in order to ensure business readiness;
