Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance is seeking an Assistant Department Manager to lead daily department operations and support the department manager in achieving performance targets.

You will guide team members, provide growth feedback, and ensure top-notch customer service while coordinating inventories, pricing, and promotions to keep our store ready for customers. This role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in retail or customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• perform day-to-day management activities within your department in collaboration with the department manager
• provide team members with the feedback necessary for their professional development and the achievement of established objectives
• collaborate with the production and customer service clerks; - Ensure the implementation of exceptional customer service
• in collaboration with the manager, ensure the management of inventories, price lists, marketing and salary productivity according to established standards in order to ensure business readiness
