You are a safety-focused Asphalt Plant Operator with a minimum of 3 years of experience. In this role, you will work alongside our Highway Construction team on diverse paving projects across Alberta. As a collaborative team player, you prioritize safety and readily assist wherever needed.

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Operate the asphalt plant safely and efficiently
  2. Utilize computer skills to manage plant operations effectively
  3. Conduct regular equipment maintenance and ensure smooth functionality
  4. Monitor operations to maintain consistent production, complete daily checks, and keep accurate plant logs
  5. Comply with and uphold Ledcor’s Health & Safety programs
Qualifications:
  1. Previous experience managing or operating an asphalt plant
  2. Successful completion of drug and alcohol testing is mandatory
  3. A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract are required
  4. Strong understanding of health and safety practices in daily work activities
  5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  6. Mechanical aptitude is a strong asset
Work Conditions:
  1. This is a field-based position from May to November 2025
  2. Flexibility to work on projects throughout Alberta is required
  3. Shift rotations involve 10–14-hour workdays, including nights and overtime
  4. A living-out allowance of $135 per day is provided
  5. Preference is given to candidates with an RV or trailer, as a camp area with hookups is provided
