Job summary

Arts Umbrella in Vancouver is seeking a part-time, sessional role to support program instructors and help prepare classrooms for evening and weekend classes. You will ensure supplies are ready, assist with student engagement, and help maintain safety and materials throughout sessions.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Arts Umbrella’s vision and mission.
• Professional experience in the subject area and demonstrated experience interacting with children.

Responsibilities

• Support program instructors, ensuring supplies and classrooms are prepared in advance of classes, and working with instructors to ensure students are safe and engaged at all times while at Arts Umbrella.
• Work as a part of team in implementing Arts Umbrella’s unique and creative vision and communicate this to students and parents
• Ensure all safety and cleaning protocols are met and maintain the classroom set up before and after class

• Professional experience in the subject area and demonstrated experience interacting with children or an equivalent combination of education and experience
