Emily Carr University of Art and Design seeks a Youth Program Assistant to support Teen Art Group and Youth Art + Culture Lab in Vancouver. You will assist instructors, manage attendance, help with classroom setup, and handle program logistics with a focus on inclusivity for ages 13-18.
Qualifications include being in the third year of an undergrad in Education/Design/Arts, 1–3 months youth experience, and strong organizational and communication skills.
Teen Art Group – October 15, 2026 to February 11, 2027 (Thursday’s biweekly 3:30pm to 7:30pm*)
Youth Art + Culture Lab – November 1, 2026 to February 28, 2027 (Sunday’s biweekly 12:15pm to 4:15pm*)
*Additional hours as needed
Pay Grade B ($25.48 to $27.25 per hour)

The Youth Program Assistant plays a key role in supporting ECU’s community partnership programs, including the Teen Art Group, with Vancouver Art Gallery (ages 15-18) and Youth Art + Culture Lab, with Richmond Art Gallery (ages 13-15). The Program Assistant assists Instructors with classroom management and student engagement and supports program logistics and administration including attendance, documentation, supplies, snacks, and program activities and events. The Program Assistant helps ensure a positive and inclusive learning experience for all participants.
