Job summary

Autism Services in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan is seeking an arena attendant to support safe and efficient operations of the facility. Responsibilities include daily arena tasks, handling nets, janitorial duties, ice plant monitoring, snow removal, minor repairs guidance, and safety oversight during rentals.

The role also covers first aid provisioning, regular patrols for compliance, equipment management, and assisting with Pro Shop stock and setup.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily tasks associated with the safe and efficient operation of the arena and surrounding grounds.
• Move nets to side of arena surface (may require lifting) before during and after all regular scheduled ice rentals.
• Return nets to the crease including pegs.
• Regular janitorial duties of the arena include, but not limited to, sweeping and washing floors, washroom and changing room cleaning and disinfecting, power washing, garbage pick-up and general cleaning duties as necessary.
• Assisting the Ice Facility Operator to maintain and monitor ice plant by daily inspections and alerting the Arena Manager of any problems.
• Snow removal, when necessary, from sports complex sidewalks and emergency exits.
• Assist the Ice Facility Operator with maintaining and performing minor repairs to sports facilities mechanical equipment and refer all major repairs to Arena Manager for alternate contractors to be contacted.
• Monitor the facility during rental functions and events to ensure public safety and safe operations.
• Provision of emergency first aid services including documentation of all services provided.
• Patrol the facility regularly to ensure rules and regulations are being followed.
• Safeguard, supplies and equipment.
• Organize equipment set up and take down.
• Pro Shop retail sales, replenish stock, assist with inventory.
• Advise the Arena Manager immediately of all equipment damage, malfunction or unsafe conditions.
