Job summary

Amazon Canada is seeking an Area Manager II to lead an hourly workforce at our Scarborough fulfillment site. You will drive safety, quality, and delivery performance, coaching teams to meet customer expectations across three workflow stages.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions and cross-functional collaboration with Safety, HR, and Quality teams. The position requires leadership experience, the ability to manage large teams, and flexibility in scheduling, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Bachelor’s degree or International Equivalent, OR 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience, OR 6+ years of Military Experience.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud.
• Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs).
• Diagnose root causes of performance gaps using advanced analytics and drive data-informed decisions across departments.
