Amazon Inc. is seeking an Area Manager II in Calgary to lead a team of hourly associates, driving safety, quality and delivery performance. You will coach and engage the team, plan staffing, and partner with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.

The role requires handling shifts, maintaining high engagement, and using data to drive improvements across multiple workflows, impacting millions of orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent required or 2+ years Amazon experience or 6+ years military experience.
• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Experience leading large teams (50+ members) and driving safety, quality, and productivity.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance and HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for long shifts.
• Work in variable temperatures and loud environments at delivery stations.
• Continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.
