Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager II at our Alberta fulfillment network to lead a team of up to 80 hourly associates, driving safety, quality, productivity, and on-time deliveries.

You will partner with Quality, HR and Safety to implement scalable process improvements, analyze performance data, and balance departmental priorities.

This role requires lifting up to 49 pounds and working in environments with variable temperatures, noise, and outdoor loading areas.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environments with varying noise levels and temperatures, including outdoor loading areas.
• Lead cross-functional planning and drive data-driven improvements across workflows.
