Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Canada is hiring an Accounts Receivable Advisor to support billing and collections across residences. The role uses Yardi for resident billing, conducts monthly reviews, and maintains receivables procedures to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.

You will monitor month-end closings, deposits, rate changes, and census accuracy while handling refunds and 30+ day collections, with opportunities to train and collaborate with site management.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Business Administration.
• General accounting experience in a complex computerized environment.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with Yardi considered an asset.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with multitasking and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and client services skills.
• Able to communicate with all levels of management.
• Positive attitude with a can-do approach to finding solutions.
• Dedication to exceptional performance.
• Experience in a mid to large-size company preferred.
• English/French bilingual skills considered an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee resident maintenance and billing processes in residences using Yardi.
• Review monthly reports and reconciliations for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Maintain procedures for receivables processes.
• Oversee month-end balancing, closing, billing and EFTs.
• Perform Head Office banking and follow-up on deposits.
• Monitor rate increases and census accuracy.
• Calculate resident yearly rent increases.
• Follow up on resident refunds, current and stale-dated.
• Process NSF payments and monitor collections over 30 days.
• Prepare monthly AR Aging analyses for sites as needed.
• Establish relationships with management and provide training as required.
• Uphold organizational values of ethics, morality and integrity.
