Job summary

Spring Living Retirement Communities is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee the AP function for a portfolio of retirement residences across Canada. You will code, approve and process invoices, manage payments, and ensure timely, accurate financial records.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Finance, you will lead the AP team, strengthen internal controls, and support month-end close while collaborating with Finance, Operations and external vendors to ensure obligations are

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable or accounting, preferably in a real estate environment and experience managing an AP function.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA designation or equivalent accounting designation is an asset.
• Familiarity with Yardi is an asset.
• Familiarity with seniors housing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounts payable, including invoice receipt, coding, approval, processing, and payment.
• Enter, review, and code corporate and capex invoices and expense claims.
• Review property-level operating expenses for coding accuracy.
• Review AP invoices and vendor coding for accuracy.
• Review weekly payment cycle packages for transfers, cheques, and wires.
