Job summary

Avenue Living Asset Management in Calgary is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable professional to join our team and support high-volume property operations. You will process SODAs, apply tenant payments, and support month-end close.

You will analyze aging, prepare AR reports, investigate balances, and collaborate with Property Operations, Accounting, and Finance to improve cash collection and scalable processes using Yardi and Power BI.

Qualifications

3+ years of AR, collections, or related accounting experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with large datasets and reporting.
Familiarity with Yardi or other property management software is a plus.
Experience with Power BI is preferred.
Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

Responsibilities

Process SODAs accurately and on time, including reviewing tenant activity, supporting documentation, charges, credits, and final balances.
Complete AR cash applications and ensure payments are applied accurately and promptly.
Prepare and process approved write-offs in AR subledger with supporting docs.
Perform AR subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations and investigate variances.
Respond to tenant inquiries and resolve account discrepancies with Property Operations.
