Job summary

Toromont Cat in Hamilton, Ontario, is seeking an Apprentice Technician to train on Caterpillar equipment and advance toward a Licensed Technician opportunity. You will learn on the job with seasoned mentors, while maintaining safety and quality standards in a busy service environment.

The role offers full-time, permanent employment with a competitive hourly wage and potential bonuses/benefits as part of a total rewards package.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma.
• Currently enrolled, or completion of a Post-Secondary Heavy Equipment Technician program.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives
• Repair Caterpillar and other brands of equipment for our customers in a timely and economical manner
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
• Prepare service reports and service documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Ensure our internal and external customer needs are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner in a positive, engaging environment of teamwork, career development and lifelong learning for opportunities across our business.

Toromont Cat is looking for an Apprentice Technicians to join our team at Hamilton! Our Registered Apprentice Technicians, when not in school, will continue to learn on the job with our experienced, trusted Technicians gradually progressing to achieve a Licensed Technician opportunity.

Pay Type Full Time, Permanent

Compensation $34.99 - $44.98. The listed wage is just one component of our total rewards package, and eligibility to additional premiums may be available.
