Job summary

Toromont Cat is seeking an Apprentice Technician to join our Sudbury team. You will learn on the job alongside experienced Technicians and work toward a Licensed Technician opportunity within our Caterpillar-focused service network.

The role offers full-time, permanent employment with a starting wage of $34.99 per hour and a total rewards package. Training is emphasized, with opportunities to advance across Eastern Canada locations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma.
  • Currently enrolled, or completion of a Post-Secondary Heavy Equipment Technician program.

Responsibilities

  • Repair Caterpillar and other brands of equipment for our customers in a timely and economical manner.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic problems using Caterpillar testing equipment.
  • Prepare service reports and service documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure our internal and external customer needs are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner in an positive, engaging environment of teamwork, career development and lifelong learning for opportunities across our business.

Job description

Toromont Cat is seeking an Apprentice technician to join our team in Sudbury. Our Registered Apprentice Technicians, when not in school, will continue to learn on the job with our experienced, trusted Technicians gradually progressing to achieve a Licensed Technician opportunity.
